I’ve always noticed the designer’s struggle between showcasing a ground-breaking creatively focused collection, and maintaining appeal within their consumer. And I’ll voice it now – the gap is a lot bigger than you’d think. Almost as much as the gap between high street and high end – something I know a lot of us try to avoid, but alas: I struggle to justify $5000 leather leggings, and at the same time, polyester doesn’t always cut it. So you can imagine my excitement at being introduced to Saveus… who’s here to save… us… sorry. Couldn’t resist. For love of their winter collection, you’ll definitely be hearing so much more about them. This skirt is everything I’ve ever wanted in a puff skirt – solid fabric, well-fitted, and impossibly fun to run around in (these new UGGs came in handy on that front too). Looking at it now, I wouldn’t have paired it with anything but the wonderfully soft sheer top. The number of times I’ve been stuck on what to wear with bright bottom-halves – this is it. altaltalt For Sydneysiders, Saveus just launched a crazy cool prism for their perfect collection downstairs at 100 Squared in Westfield Sydney, so make sure you go and take a look and stroke the clothes in person. They have a limited edition version of this skirt in crazy 3D studded material that I have my eye on. Save one for me! I definitely need to show you more of these boots in the near future. I don’t think I’ve taken them off since they landed in my lap (and that’s saying something because I’d developed a fairly noticeable RMK loafer tan…) How’s everyone’s weekend going? Anything exciting planned? *love* xx
